Mirlyn commenced trading under that name since 1947, having been manufacturing and creating a variety of products for customers in metalwork at the same workshops in Coleridge Street Hove throught the following years. Over those many years, copious new customers have come through reccomendation providing a quick turnaround, and with competitve prices on metalworks to customers own specifications, plans and drawings.
Security Grilles are often requested by shopfronts by the Jewelery trade, and these can be fixed, sliding or lift off formats. Window Protectors are made for covering those ornate leaded church windows where these are made in rod and mesh to avoid damage by vandals. Machine Guards are a health & Safety requirement and these too are made with external rod surrounding wire mesh to suit the application. Retail shopkeepers Display Stands can be made to whatever specification you require, in a mesh and/or rod to hold round tube products in place for example, or a racking system different to what is available 'off the shelf'. Railings and stairways, for external fire escapes can be a long term replacement for those rotting wooden garden steps with a similar cost base, & galvanised will far outlast any timber.		Handrails for balconies can be constructed using a variety of formats with round, square bars using fancy tops in spikes round balls or whatever you desire to give a somewhat different style or to match an exsisting. Caterers, restaraunts and those requiring stainless steel baskets, sheet surrounds to the cleaning, preparation and working areas of the kitchens. Vehicle Dog Guards fast becoming a steady request in recent years with professional dog walking services with small vans requiring separations within the van body for a number of dogs, made from mesh bordered by rod which can be pulled out loose from the vans to enable cleaning. Pond Guards have been the most interesting and different item in more recent years, mainly designed, made & fitted in order to protect customers valuable fish.
The finishing off of products is offered in a variety of coating, from plain 'self-colour' only suitable for interior use, or can be sent off with other customers work, for coating in Galvanising, a colour powder coating, Chrome or zinc plating, as well as the offering of some products in Stainless Steel or using ready made parts & in sheet material of Aluminium. 'Weldmash' is a trade name for the wire mesh product which is used in a variety of sizes and gauges (thickness) again to suit the application starting at 50mm square working down to 12mm. Our fitting team is often supplimented by 'Dinnages Property Maintenance' a trusted company trading over 20 years themselves, and used subject to customers own requirements after the product design and manufacture. The site fixing of all our work is through a variety of securing methods including some minor welding work if and where required.
